Beyond excellent! Locally owned and operated bar-b-que joint that has some ridiculously tasty food. I'm surprised I got any pictures because everything was consumed in record time. We had the Cyclone Nachos, Brisket Sandwich, Chicken Plate and Vegetable Plate with mac & cheese, potato salad, green beans, baked beans, corn bread and sweet potatoes as sides. Listen...RUN, don't walk, to this restaurant. You'll not be disappointed.
After my dad raved about the brisket, I had to go. It did not disappoint. We ordered 3 meals to go. The food was delicious and a win for the whole family. The greens were the best I have ever had. The brisket is second to none. But what put this place over the top was the outstanding service. We felt loved and welcome by the owners and their family. While we waited for our food (very short wait), my children loved meeting and playing with the owners children. Support local and check them out! We will definitely be back.
First time visiting. We have said since they opened we should go and we just never made it. Well this definitely won’t be the last! Some of the juiciest tender delicious brisket I’ve had! I ordered fries (decent) and Mac and cheese as my sides. That Mac and cheese is definitely the best I have ever eaten. Hubby had the Texas torpedo. Huge and filling. He loved it both last night and the rest today for lunch! I paid a measly 18 bucks the brisket platter. I had plenty last night and enough for a big lunch today. I’ve easily paid at least 25 for much less at many other authentic bbq joints. Please if you’ve been waiting on going- get going and support this locally owned business. The owner even came out to the dining room to personally check on us and others. We will be back- soon.
I ordered the brisket sandwich and my husband had the brisket plate with mac and cheese and baked beans. The brisket was so tender it melted in my mouth! With a hearty portion, I had to eat some of it with a fork before I was able to enjoy it in sandwich form. But when I did the buttery bun complimented the brisket so nicely! I sampled my husband's sides and was so pleasantly surprised at the sweetness of the baked beans! The mac and cheese was thick and creamy and delicious as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant and the staff was very friendly! Will definitely be back!
We’ve been to this restaurant on several occasions. They have the best cornbread & their pulled pork, bbq ribs & brisket is amazing!! Their portion size is enough that my husband and I split the 3 choice meat dinner & still had leftovers. Prices are reasonable for everything you get. Hidden gem in Evansville, Indiana. Don’t let this restaurant pass you by. Customer service is top notch! The owner greets every guest. You never get that kind of service in most places.
I will say I am a huge bbq fan, but specifically Texas bbq! This place is it! I was greeted by a gentleman who was super informative and friendly. I ordered the 2 meat *brisket and pork* combo with double green beans. (As I am on low carb/dirty keto diet) It was 20, BUT you get what you pay for! Quality meats and super smokey! I asked if it has sauce on it and the man said he's a true Texas bbq man, good bbq doesn't need sauce put on it. However, they do give you a side of bbq sauce with it. I love bbq with a permeating smoke flavor, and this was perfect for my taste. The only thing I couldn't eat were the green beans. They have a lot of sugar in them, but that's the "soul food" vibe. The green beans are also spicy, so if you don't want sweet n spicy do not order. If I wasn't on keto, I would have devoured them! LOL. If you haven't tried their bbq, STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING & go grab ya some! Perfectly seasoned, super smoky, and comes with the best bark! I'm a bark shark. Absolutely delicious! I ordered mine to go and it took about ten minutes. The price and time are completely worth it. They also serve Soul Food, which I love & hopefully, I will try some soon. Very clean establishment. The lady that took my order was so nice. We'll be back for sure! Thank you! 5 out of 5 's.
This place is AMAZING! The best tasting and authentic BBQ you will eat in the Tri-state!! Go see for yourself. They do not disappoint!!! 5 stars!!!
I flat out love BBQ. I’ve traveled all over America and I’ll try brisket wherever I go. I’m telling you for a fact. This is one of the better briskets I’ve ever had. It’s the perfect amount of smoke and rub. The green beans were so good. The baked beans were so good. This place cannot be slept on. CAN NOT. If you’re reading this and you’re in Evansville and you want BBQ. DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE OTHER THAN THIS PLACE.
